Being stillness

Being stillness.

With stillness, I find the space between thoughts.
I feel empty of self and the fulness of everything.

When I visited Chichester Cathedral there was a tomb that seemed to represent and signify total stillness. The timeless stillness which is echoed throughout the cathedral. Is this what makes these places so attractive? A stillness where everyday thoughts and even the concept of 'self' has little meaning. We all wonder where death leads us. If it takes us to a place of stillness, then perhaps that is a good place to be. A cathedral gives me a glimpse of stillness. A glimpse of the present moment and what 'is'. A place where we are not separated by thoughts of past, future and self.
