Finding stillness.

I visited a Cathedral in the UK and found myself sitting quietly in front of a tomb. The movement and chatter of people around me seemed to emphasise the stillness I was feeling within. This stillness enjoyed the lack of thoughts, the absense of time and I felt an awareness of how all things are connected when we become present in the moment.

If I can witness my thoughts, then feelings of a separate and individual self are replaced with a feeling of connection. This connection includes stillness, a quiet mind and timelessness. Whoever that person is within the tomb, we are sharing stillness in that moment. We are one consciousness.
