The sound of oneness and nothingness.
The sound of the word of God.
The different strokes in the Om symbol represent different states of conciousness. The unconscious self is curve on the top left, the conscious or waking self is the sweep on the bottom left. The dreaming self is the sweep to the right and the transcendental self is the diamond at the top. The brush stroke just below the transcendental self represents the world of illusion, like a veil, that keeps us from truth and a true awareness of the universe.
